Bringing a character to life exactly as you imagined, or finding the actor who surprises you entirely, is one of the best parts of the filmmaking process.
Every student project starts with a concept call with the director, writer, and producers about who these characters are and what the film needs. Breakdowns get built together with the whole creative team, then released to agents and managers, targeted to the hubs and the specific location you're shooting. We also put out a casting call on social media.
I meticulously explore all possibilities, then set up the first rounds of auditions via self tape and virtual pre-reads. Then from all those auditions, I narrow down the best into a curated list of strong options worth your time. Callbacks and chemistry reads run live via zoom, tailored to what your timeline can support.
Once the right person's clear, I handle the offer and negotiation start to finish, keeping every role within budget and closed on schedule.
